I can't wait to use this blog to share the things I love to make. I am starting off with this succulent door basket. I found the basket at a flea market for $1.25 and added the succulents, I wanted to make sure some of them could creep out the front and sides. I also added the rustic birdhouse and burlap flowers to dress it up. Hope you like it!
We had a great time at the Thirty-One Party I had Wednesday night at my house. Luckily Allison was there to take some great pics for my new blog. I had about 8 friends come over, which was the perfect amount to feel like I could spend time catching up with everyone. It was fun to see everyone's different tastes and preferences come out. Decisions, Decisions...
Here I am writing a post when I am suppose to be at the Y taking a class. My counterparts that I mentioned in the last post, who keep me accountable, both had to cancel. I had full intention of continuing with the journey until I looked in the mirror and saw how bloated my stomach is. It's that time of the month and it looks like a swallowed a watermelon...so not only am I tired, bloated, and in pain; I''m not sure what would come out of me when I was made to contort my body into certain positions. Then I thought, well you are up, throw in a pilates DVD or take the dog for a walk; not happening. I do have a report for work to write, I need to pack for the weekend (we are going to see family in western New York). I need to do laundry and pick up my house...but alas...I will likely remain in blog world doing my best to find a more acceptable option. Here's to procrastination......

For the last month I have been attending 5:30 am classes at the YMCA two days a week. On Wednesdays I take Dynamic Interval Training, otherwise known as hell :) I go with my friends Angie and Jacqueline who pick me up and keep me accountable. It is a really hard workout and I will be so happy when I can do all of the exercises correctly and as quickly as the instructor does. Sometimes I get pretty down on myself about it but my husband always reminds me that...at least I'm there. I do feel stronger and would like to start seeing changes in my body. Angie and I try to walk/run at least two other days of the week. Having a Thirty-One party tonight so I need to clean up and get ready.

So here it goes, my first blogging experience. My friends Angie (Baseball and Ballet) and Allison (Lipgloss Lounge) have had blogs for a few years. I have to admit that I thought the idea was a bit ridiculous, especially on top of Facebook, email, etc. Over the last year or so I have been reading blogs and using them as a resource, especially for crafting and decorating ideas. I Love to create things that make my home beautiful and sometimes I make things to sell for my friend's craft sale. I often want to share my creations on other people's blogs and needed my own to do that. So here we go!!
